Vincent - responsable Prod Calip Normandie
Vincent Louviot, production manager (mechanics) gave us some time to tell us about his career within CALIP Normandie.
🎙Vincent, can you tell us about your course?

I first did a 3-year milling CAP, then I continued with a turning CAP (1 year) to finish with a work-study BEP specialized in the creation of molds. I spent two years at Seropa (Schneider Group).

I did my military service in Civil Engineering for 10 months, then I worked as a temporary worker at Crem (RVI subcontractor as a milling machine), at RVI… and one day, at Axium (formerly Cap Méca, in the Argences round factory) as a machining center operator, in 1998.

🎙How did you join CALIP Normandie?

After several temporary periods, I was finally hired in 2002 in the metrology department of Cap Méca (formerly Axium, in Argences). After six years, I was offered the position of metrology manager following the departure of the manager at the time.

I worked in this position for ten years until the day we became project managers with Gaël Legrand. Our profiles were complementary and we immediately got along very well.

We worked like this for two years before our duo became production managers at the Argences site.

Since the consolidation of Cap Méca and Cap profilés on the Moult site, we have managed all mechanical production for CALIP Normandie's major accounts.

🎙 What can you say about your journey?

I benefited from great internal development. I am happy with the trust that management has placed in me from the start. I have the chance to work with a lot of very interesting human and professional people with whom I am proud to see everything we have and we are going to achieve at CALIP.

🤾‍♂️ Can you tell us what you like to do outside of CALIP Normandie?

I really like sport, especially handball. I am also a coach of senior men at the regional level. It keeps me very busy training them and following them during matches on the weekends.

A big thank you to Vincent for this inspiring interview. We hope it will help the new generation to see a promising future in the industrial sector.
